Soldier on Tour -
Owls of Neptune

Tomcat

Thursday, 7th March 2024

Owls of Neptune are on tour and will be at Tomcat alongside Katanak and News To Me.

Doors at 7pm.

OWLS OF NEPTUNE

Celebrating the release of their latest album 'Soldier On' Owls of Neptune will be showcasing their new tracks aswell as some of the songs that have gained them recognition. The songs will be sure to take you on a journey and with no specific genre to pin them down, theres something for everyones taste.

KATANAK

Fresh indie tunes with catchy pop hooks are the signature style of emerging Brisbane artist Katanak. Known for his infectious indie rock/pop groove-inducing earworms that fans of The 1975, The Wombats and Sam Fender will appreciate, Katanak brings colour to your world. Collaborating with some of Australia's most highly respected emerging and established artists (Quan Yeomans (Regurgitator) and Pete Murray to name a few), Katanak comfortably straddles genre’s grey-area of rock & pop, adding colour to your musical palette. Don’t try to define him or his genre, as Katanak only cares if it’s a good song.

NEWS TO ME

News to Me is a rising force in the world of indie/psych rock. Hailing from Brisbane, their captivating blend of intricate melodies, hypnotic rhythms, and heartfelt lyrics has earned them a reputation for leaving audiences spellbound. Since forming in late 2022, the quintet has cultivated a love for pushing the boundaries of their music. When they're not busy debating who has the best hair or who can drink the most coffee, you might find them jamming in the "newsroom" (aka their practice space). There, they explore the melodic potential of each song through improvised jams before deftly crafting hook-lined vocal melodies and intricate riffs. News to Me brings a playful and infectious energy to their performances, combining it with dazzling music that leaves audiences mesmerized.
